Another chosen photographer

My first choice of photographer's was Adam Burton, but he isn't a professional photographer and only takes photos as a hobby. So my second choice is Joe Cornish who takes landscape photos around Britain. I have chosen Joe Cornish because he is a professional photographer who takes landscape photographs and I am going to use him in my Personal Study.

Here is some of Joe Cornish's work:

Photography trip to London

On the 27th June, my photography class and I went to London to visit the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea and The Photographers Gallery which is situated on a side road just off Oxford Street.
At the Saatchi Gallery we were told to look out for ideas for our own work and to take pictures of anything that inspired us and something that could give us ideas. I found one photographer called David Benjamin Sherry. I took some pictures of some of his work as I liked the genre of his work (landscape), here are a couple of pictures from the gallery of his work:
All Matterings Of Mind Equal One Violet
Hyperborealis
I liked these images by Sherry because I like the way he has changed the colour of the images. In my finals, I am not planning on changing the colours of the whole of the images but I am hoping to take pictures like these.
In The Photographers Gallery, we were given a mini project to find photos of the environment being harmed by human activity. Here are some images I found in the gallery that show the environment being harmed by humans.
Shipbreaking #13, Chittagong, Bangladesh
Recycling #2, Chittadong, Bangladesh
These two images show the environment being harmed by humans as the top one shows an oil ship breaking and the bottom one shows the recycling of oil, but has covered the ground.

Ideas for finals

Here are some ideas of photos I have taken over the summer holidays for my finals for my A2 coursework and exam:

'In the style of' photos

Here are some of the 'in the style of' photos I have taken in the North Yorkshire Moors while I was on holiday there:

This one is in the style of Adam Burton as the first image I posted on here shows the different colours of the landscape and the different sizes and shapes of the fields.
This one is in the style of one of Adam Burton's images from my previous post as it shows a lonely tree on its own, just like the one in Burton's photo.

Chosen photographer for summer work

I have chosen to look at Adam Burton's landscape work as I am very into landscape photography and the majority of the photos I take in my free time are landscapes. Over the summer holidays, I am going to take some landscape photos around the area I live in and also in North Yorkshire while I am on holiday there. I will be taking photos 'in the style of' Adam Burton as I like the photos he has taken and most of his work he has done. I will also be taking landscape photos with my traditional camera to take some black and white photos for the traditional part of my photography course. Here are a few examples of Adam Burton's work he has done on landscapes:

First image analysis

I like the way I have taken this photo as it leads the you to the city of Perth in the background, if you look quite closely. The image is a jetty of a beach on Rottnest Island in Western Australia with the cityscape of Perth in the background. It is a sunny day and the sea is very calm. The edges of the jetty makes your look to see where the end of the jetty goes to and what is in the background. The jetty stands out from the blue sky and the blue ocean.
